Static Pipe Bursting Method
Trenchless Laying
The pipe bursting method involves trenchless renewal along the same route.
With the aid of a conical bursting head the old pipe material is broken or cut up and radially displaced into the surrounding soil.
The new pipe with the same or a larger nominal diameter is introduced in the same operation.
As part of the static pipe bursting method, the old pipe is destroyed or displaced by tensile/shear forces that are transferred to the bursting cone via a traction medium (steelcable or rod) and/or the pipe itself.
Benefits at a Glance
- No annular space loss
- Increase in pipe cross section by up to two nominal diameters
- Optimal insertion due to SIMONA® SPC RC-Line pipes
- Safe application of the pipe bursting method due to the use of SIMONA® PE 100 SPC RC-Line pressure pipes
